- James,
- I've dealt with CyberWarehouse before and have had no problems with
- them or their service.
- First: Check the new modem's "tail" (the pin area which enters the
- ISA slot) against the "tail" of the old modem to see if they are indeed
- different.
- Second: Make SURE the "tail" is properly lined up with the slot,
- then press HARD to get the "tail" to go down into the slot (sometimes
- the "tail" appears to line up, when a close inspection will reveal
- it really doesn't).
- Third: If it STILL won't go in, send an E-mail message asking for
- an RMA (returned materials authorization) number, explaining the
- problem and your attempts at a solution (cc a copy of the E-mail to
- yourself as documentation).
- If they still don't respond and you paid with a credit card, you
- can contact your credit card company and they will probably give you
- directions on returning the modem and getting credit against Cyber-
- Warehouse (great things, credit cards).
- If this becomes necessary, a call to *prodigy about CyberWarehouse's
- response (or lack of) would also be appropriate.
- But as I first wrote: I've had VERY good luck with them, so don't
- give up just yet. :-)
-
- Hope this helps,
